On Dec. 13, 2011, International Cooperation & Science Division of the Ministry of Water Resources held the accepting meeting of DY-500 Micro-pressure Drip Irrigation Technical Achievement Industrialization and Application Project which was cooperatively undertaken by Gansu Research Institute for Water Conservancy and Dayu Conserving Water Group Co., Ltd. The accepting meeting was hosted by Deputy Director Wu Wenxiang of Science Promotion Division of the Ministry of Water Resources, attended by senior engineer Liu Qiang, Chief of Taolai River Basin Water Resources Bureau of Gansu Department of Water Resources as acceptance group leader, senior engineer Ma Yueping, Director of Taolai River Basin Water Resources Bureau of Gansu Department of Water Resources as acceptance group vice leader, and vice director Zhang Jinhong of Science Promotion Division of the Ministry of Water Resources.

Through hearing report of the project undertaking units, inspecting manufacturing site, reading project accepting information, questioning and discussion, the accepting group agreed the acceptance and evaluated the project as Class A project.

Throughout industrialization and promotion, the project has set up a Micro-pressure Drip Irrigation Demonstrative Area of 110,000 ha in Heixi Corridor of Gansu Province, which has annually increased 320 yuan per ha in large field and 400 yuan per ha in greenhouse and has played a leading part in efficient water-saving in western areas. It has formed drip tape production lines of annually producing drip tape 120,000,000 meters. It has manufactured 36,000,000 meters’ drip, increased 8,280,000 yuan income and 4,300,000 yuan profit and tax. It has acquired three national practical new patents, one provincial scientific research achievement, issued two articles on national key periodical. Products have been listed in Brief introduction to Promotion Conference on International Advanced Water Technology. The project has played a leading role for Chinese water-saving irrigation technologies.
